A Marriage in 2010

There were many weddings in 2010 but the most meaningful for us was when A married SB in the Blue Mosque of Shah Alam. This was followed by a reception at the KLGCC (Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club) and later in our kampung halaman in Pulau Pinang.

It was meaningful for the akad nikah to be held in the Blue Mosque because we now call Shah Alam home. Immediately after the KLGCC reception the bride and groom left for their honeymoon.

The kenduri in Pulau Pinang was held on the third day of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, so most relatives who balik kampung could attend. I was glad because they could also meet up with my bedridden mum then. Some of my old colleagues and friends also turned up to celebrate the occasion.
